OVERVIEW

At 14,411 feet, Mount Rainier is the tallest peak in Washington state. Its glaciers feed five rivers. Mount Rainier is at the center of the park, which is divided into five areas: Paradise, Sunrise, Longmire (the historic district), Ohanapecos­h (the ancient forest) and Carbon River & Mowich Lake (the quietest section).
