At 14,411 feet, Mount Rainier is the tallest peak in Washington state. Its glaciers feed five rivers. Mount Rainier is at the center of the park, which is divided into five areas: Paradise, Sunrise, Longmire (the historic district), Ohanapecosh (the ancient forest) and Carbon River & Mowich Lake (the quietest section).
Take an easy drive to Sunrise Point for dramatic views of Rainier. Another hot spot is Myrtle Falls, which gives you Mount Rainier and the cascade all in one photo,
Wildflowers such as beargrasa and alpine aster carpet the park's meadows in summer. Find a complete list at visitrainier.comǐ
