What the brewer says

“Pouring golden in color, this beer has an aroma of bready malt punctuated by a slightly minty hops character. With a light-to-medium mouthfeel, American Kölsch delivers a honey-like malt sweetness that gives way to a crisp clean finish with a touch of lingering citrus/herbal hops flavor.”

What our panel thought

Aroma: “Moderate bready malt with slight banana fruity esters at first followed by light floral and slightly citrus-hops aromas that are joined by watermelon and pear. A very light herbal hops aroma.” Flavor: “Light bready malt and a touch of banana esters continue onto the palate. There’s a moderately low sweetness that transitions into moderately low bitterness. The finish is dry, reminiscent of a fruit cocktail and very clean with a lingering bitterness.” Overall: “Clean and simple. Some unusual flavors that make it intriguing and unique.”
