Jeff Alworth is the author of The Beer Bible, Cider Made Simple, and The Secrets of Master Brewers. He can be found writing about beer at his blog, Beervana. He also cohosts the Beervana Podcast, with Oregon State University economics professor Patrick Emerson.

Martyn Cornell is a historian of beer and brewing and beer styles based in London, England. His latest book, Strange Tales of Ale, covers stories from flying beer to the D-day troops in Spitfire drop-tanks to what Pliny the Elder really said about hops.

Lindsey Danis is a Hudson Valley–based freelance writer who covers food, culture, LGBTQ, and travel. When not writing, she is cooking, kayaking, or hiking. Daniel Hartis is the author of Charlotte Beer: A History of Brewing in the Queen City and Beer Lover’s The Carolinas. He writes about his local beer scene in the Charlotte Observer, and has been published in All About Beer Magazine, Beer Advocate, The Beer Connoisseu­r, The Local Palate, Our State, Food Republic and Paste Magazine.

Jester Goldman has almost 30 years of homebrewin­g experience, from extract and all-grain beers to meads. He loves sharing his knowledge through writing and being active in his local homebrew club, but he’s also driven to keep learning more.
