Pattern Notes

Borders are worked as you go. They are 4 stitches wide on the hot pad and 2 stitches wide on the coasters.

The hot pad borders are worked in color A using separate sources of yarn— do not carry yarn that is not in use across the back. If desired, wind A on 2 yarn bobbins or make 2 butterflies. At each color change, bring the new color from below the color just used and twist them together to prevent holes.
