This scarf, worked on the bias, is uniquely sim­ple and el­e­gant. Knit with just one skein, it’s quickly fin­ished in a cou­ple of hours! With the lux­u­ri­ous lace and de­li­ciously long length, you’ll delight in ex­per­i­ment­ing with the many dif­fer­ent ways to wear it!

Gauge

16 sts and 17 rows = 4 inches/10cm in Lace pat, blocked. Ex­act gauge is not crit­i­cal for this project.

Spe­cial Ab­bre­vi­a­tion

Knit 3 to­gether (k3­tog): Knit next 3 sts tog.

Pat­tern Note

Chart is pro­vided for scarf pat for those pre­fer­ring to work from a chart.

Scarf

With color of choice, cast on 19 sts. Set-up row (WS): K1, purl to last 2 sts, p2­tog—18 sts. Row 1 (RS): K1, [k3, yo, k3­tog, yo] twice, k4, kfb—19 sts.

Rows 2 and 4 (WS): K1, purl to last 2 sts, p2­tog—18 sts. Row 3: K3, [k3, yo, k3­tog, yo] twice, k2, kfb—19 sts. Row 5: K2, yo, k3­tog, yo, [k3, yo, k3­tog, yo] twice, kfb—19 sts. Row 6: Rep Row 2.

Rep Rows 1–6 un­til scarf mea­sures a fin­ished length of 107 inches or de­sired length, end­ing with a WS row.

Bind off loosely on next RS row.

Fin­ish­ing

Block scarf to fin­ished mea­sure­ments. Weave in ends.

Tie scarf as shown in Fig­ure 1 or as de­sired.
