Ma­te­ri­als

This head­band is a col­or­ful mod­ern take on the vin­tage tur­ban. A neu­tral gray is high­lighted by bold, bright colors at the edges. Knit in a loose gauge, this head­band is per­fect for tran­si­tion­ing into sum­mer.

Gauge

18 sts and 22 rows = 4 inches/10cm in St st. To save time, take time to check gauge.

Head­band

Side 1

*With A, cast on 18 sts.

Work in St st un­til piece mea­sures 21 inches or length de­sired.

Bind off**.

Color Trim

With B, pick up and knit in each st along 1 of the long side edges. Knit 6 rows. Bind off.

Side 2

Rep from * to **. Color Trim With C, pick up and knit in each st along the rem long side edges. Knit 6 rows. Bind off.

Fin­ish­ing

Fold side 1 in half with WS fac­ing and color trim along bot­tom edge. Sew short ends tog to form a cir­cle.

Loop side 2 through first. Fold in half with WS fac­ing and color trim along top edge. Sew short ends tog to form a cir­cle.

Sew 2 seams (short ends that form loops) tog, keep­ing each head­band side on ei­ther side of seam. The cir­cle will be in­ter­twined at cen­ter of com­pleted head­band.

Weave in ends.
