You’ve seen jumbo yarn in stores, and perhaps, you have even arm-knit with it. Big Knit Love puts ginormous yarn in the spotlight by featuring trendy wraps and accessories made using big needles. And we are talking big needles—up to U.S. size 50 (25mm)—and big yarn—chunky, super-bulky or jumbo yarn (CYC categories #5, #6 and #7).

Most of the 20 projects in the book are suitable for beginners, and for many of them, gauge doesn’t really matter much. How often do you hear that good news? You might think that a big gauge means super-simple shapes, but designs like the Fully Fashioned Chunky Knit Top include innovative shaping and seaming to create unexpected garment silhouettes. Designer’s Big Idea sidebars offer design inspiration to vary the patterns, and The Big Picture sidebars offer tips and tricks for working with challenging yarns.

Big Knit Love offers plenty of ontrend style for the adventurous beginner and quick projects for intermediate knitters.
