Pat­tern Stitches Garter st in rows: Knit ev­ery row. Garter st in rnds: Knit 1 rnd, purl 1 rnd. on spare nee­dle. *Con­tin­u­ing on these sts only, work garter st in rows for 3 inches, end­ing with a WS row. Bind off all sts. Join yarn to sts on spare nee­dle and knit across row. Rep from * for other side. Turtle­neck Beg at cen­ter back neck with size 10 nee­dle, pick up and knit 71 sts evenly around neck edge. Join with­out twist­ing, and pm for beg of rnd. Work in garter st in rnds un­til col­lar mea­sures 4 inches. Change to size 101/2 nee­dle and work even un­til col­lar mea­sures 6 inches.
