Pattern Notes

This shawl is asymmetrical, and is worked back and forth in rows from side to side. The pattern begins at the narrow end and increases 1 stitch per right-side row to the widest end.

A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.

Colors are changed at beginning of wrong-side rows.

Work all wrong-side rows for shawl as follows unless instructed otherwise: P1 (holding both yarns together if there are 2 yarns at end of row), then work across row using designated color (if working stripes) as follows: p2tog, purl to last 2 sts, pfb, p1.

Work KT, kfb, at beginning of all rightside rows unless instructed otherwise.

When working Lace Pattern, maintain established pattern. Knit new stitches that are added in front of marker on right-side rows, then continue with established Lace Pattern. You may not be able to work a complete last repeat of the pattern at the end of right-side rows.

Unless otherwise specified, slip markers as you get to them.
