Creative Knitting - - CONTENTS -

Oh, summer. For some folks, it’s the season they look forward to all year long. For me, living in Florida we have summer about nine months of the year. So I am always looking for those perfect summer knits. You know the ones—they are light and lovely in your lap, but they turn into something wonderfully wearable for warm weather. Do you have some fabulous travel plans for this summer? We have perfect projects to take with you on the train, plane or automobile. And just in case you were wondering, you can take your knitting on pretty much any airplane nowadays—which is good because we knitters need to keep our hands busy while sitting still for that long! But even if you are just soaking up the air conditioning, you need some lightweight knits in your life.

In this issue of Creative Knitting, we explore some clever constructions. Tackling some modular knitting will teach you to put all the pieces together, and including diagonal lines makes for very flattering knits that fit. We have a section just for all those little cuties in your life—plus you will learn some nifty smooth edgings for your knitting. And finally, the finest yarns make for featherlight knitting that you can wear and work on even on the hottest of days.

What’s on your summer knitting needles? I’d love to hear from you!

Learn the magic of miters and work up this ravishing ruana that you can wear year-round!
