Gauge

20 sts and 28 rows = 4 inches/10cm in St st with larger nee­dles. To save time, take time to check gauge.

Spe­cial Ab­bre­vi­a­tions

2 over 2 Left Cross (2/2 LC): Sl 2 sts to cn and hold in front; k2, k2 from cn. Make 1 Left (M1L): In­sert LH nee­dle from front to back un­der hor­i­zon­tal strand be­tween last st worked and next st on LH nee­dle; knit through back of re­sult­ing loop. Make 1 Right (M1R): In­sert LH nee­dle from back to front un­der hor­i­zon­tal strand be­tween last st worked and next st on LH nee­dle; knit into front of re­sult­ing loop. Slip, slip, purl (ssp): Sl 2 sts 1 at a time kwise to RH nee­dle; re­turn sts to LH nee­dle in turned po­si­tion and p2­togtbl—a left-lean­ing sin­gle dec.

Change to larger straight nee­dles. Shape Sleeve Inc 1 st each side on next row, then [ev­ery 10 rows] 6 times, then [ev­ery 8 rows] 3 times—64 (64, 68, 68, 70) sts.

Work even un­til piece mea­sures 181/2 inches, end­ing with a WS row. Shape Cap Bind off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows, then dec 1 st each side [ev­ery RS row] 17 (17, 18, 18, 18) times, then bind off 3 sts at beg of next 4 rows.

Bind off rem 12 sts.

Fin­ish­ing

Block pieces to mea­sure­ments. Sew shoul­der seams. Set in sleeves. Sew side and sleeve seams. Weave in ends. Neck Edg­ing With RS fac­ing, us­ing cir­cu­lar nee­dle and beg at left shoul­der seam, pick up and knit 14 sts along left neck edge, knit across 12 sts from holder, pick up and knit 14 sts to shoul­der seam, then 4 sts along right back neck edge, knit across 32 sts from holder, then pick up and knit 4 sts to shoul­der seam—80 sts. Pm for beg of rnd.

Work Rnds 1–6 of Turtle­neck pat 4 times. Bind off in pat. Weave in ends.
