3 balls #609 moonlight •

Sizes N/P/15/10mm and 12mm crochet hooks or sizes needed to obtain gauge • Tapestry needle

GAUGE

Size 12mm hook: 6 sts = 31/2 inches; 8 rows = 3 inches

Size N/P hook: 6 sts = 31/2 inches; 8 sts = 51/4 inches

PATTERN NOTE

Weave in loose ends as work progresses.

RUG FIRST SL ST SECTION

Row 1 (RS): With 12mm hook, loosely ch 33, working in back bars (see illustration), sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (32 sl sts) Rows 2–8: Ch 1, working in back lps (see Stitch Guide), sl st in each st across. Turn.

TEXTURED SECTION

Row 1 (RS): Change to N/P hook, ch 1, working in back lps, sk first st, (sc, dc) in next st, *sk next st, (sc, dc) in next st, rep from * across. Turn. (16 sc, 16 dc)

Rows 2–34: Ch 1, sk first st, (sc, dc) in next st, *sk next st, (sc, dc) in next st, rep from * across. Turn.

2ND SL ST SECTION

Row 1 (RS): Change to 12mm crochet hook, ch 1, working in front lps (see Stitch Guide), sl st in each st across. Turn. (32 sl sts)

Rows 2–9: Ch 1, working in back lps, sl st in each st across. Turn. At end of last row, fasten off.
