MATERIALS

• Lion Brand Yarn Ice Cream light (DK) weight acrylic yarn (31/2 oz/394 yds/100g per ball):

5 balls #206 tutti-frutti • Size H/8/5mm crochet hook or

size needed to obtain gauge • Tapestry needle • Stitch markers • 1 (10 inches x 29 inches) piece of

white fabric • Sewing needle or machine and

matching thread • Polyester fiberfill

GAUGE

Working in pattern: [Shell, sc] 3 times = 41/2 inches; 11 rows = 5 inches

PATTERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Chain-3 at beginning of row or round counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated. Do not join rounds or turn unless otherwise stated. Place stitch marker at beginning of rounds and where indicated and move up as each round is completed. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.

SPECIAL STITCHES

Bubble shell: (2 dc, 3 tr, 2 dc) in indicated st. Shell: 5 dc in indicated st.

Single crochet join (sc join):

Place slip knot on hook, insert hook in indicated st, yo, pull up a lp, yo and draw through both lps on hook.

opposite side of foundation row, 3 sc in first ch, sc in each ch across to last ch, 3 sc in last ch, rep between * across other side to last row, 3 sc in first sc, sc in each dc across to last 3 dc, 3 sc in next dc,

join (see Pattern Notes) in beg sc. (53 sc across each long edge, 34 sc across each short edge, 4 groups of 3 sc)

Long Back Panel

Stitches) in foundation row, *work 42 sc evenly sp across, 3 sc in first st*, work 34 sc evenly sp across to last st, 3 sc in last st, working in ends of rows, sc in first row, rep between *, join in beg sc. Fasten off. (43 sc across each long edge, 34 sc across top edge, 2 groups of 3 sc)

Short Back Panel

Work same as foundation row–row 10 of Front Panel.

Edging rnd: Now working in rnds, with RS facing, *working in ends of rows, work 15 sc evenly sp* across first side to foundation row, working on opposite side of foundation row, 3 sc in first ch, work 34 sc evenly sp across to last ch, 3 sc in last ch, rep between * across other side to last row, sc in each dc across, join in beg sc. Fasten off. (15 sc across each side edge, 34 sc across each top and bottom edge, 2 groups of 3 sc)

ASSEMBLY

With WS held tog, pin Short Back Panel to Front Panel. Overlap first 5 sts of each side edge of Long Back Panel on 5 sts of each side of Short Back Panel and pin Long Back Panel to Front Panel.

Border

Rnd 1 (RS): With RS of either short edge of Front Panel facing and working through both thicknesse­s, join in center st of 3-sc at top corner, ch 3 (see Pattern Notes), dc in each st around, taking care to work through all 3 thicknesse­s of 5 overlappin­g sts, join in top of beg ch-3. Pillow Form

With RS tog, fold fabric widthwise and pin around 3 sides, using a

1/2- inch seam allowance, sew around all 3 sides, leaving an opening for stuffing. Turn piece RS out and stuff with fiberfill to desired firmness. Turn seam allowances at open edges to WS and sew tog. Place inside Pillow Cover.
