Jacket & Hood Border
Row 1: With RS facing, working in row ends of body, sc join yarn in last row of right edge, sc evenly across each row of right edge, hood and left edge, turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across left edge, sc in first st of hood, [ch 1, sk next st, sc in next st] across hood, sc in each st of right edge, turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st across right edge, sc in each st and ch-1 sp across hood, sc in next st of left edge, [ch 2, sk next 2 sts, sc in next 4 sts] 2 times, ch 2, sk next 2 sts, sc in each st across, turn. Row 4: Ch 1, sc in each st and 2 sc in each ch-2 sp across. Fasten off.
Tie
[Ch 2, sl st in 2nd ch from hook] until approximately 33 [35, 37] inches long. Fasten off.
FINISHING
Weave in ends. Sew buttons to border, lined up with buttonholes. Weave tie through ch-1 sps around hood. Immerse in cool water, squeeze out excess water, taking care not to wring or twist. Place the piece on a flat, covered surface. Pin in place to measurements. Leave until completely dry.
