size needed to ob­tain gauge • Ta­pes­try nee­dle • Stitch marker


3 split sc = 1 inch; 4 split sc rnds = 1 inch


Work in con­tin­u­ous rounds. Mark last stitch of round. Do not turn or join un­less oth­er­wise stated. The Col­or­work Chart is read from right to left. It shows the color to work each split sin­gle cro­chet stitch in for that round. Chart is for front only. Join with slip stitch un­less oth­er­wise stated.


Sc in cen­ter of lower V of st (see il­lus­tra­tion).


Rnd 1: With coun­try yel­low, ch 70, join (see Pat­tern Notes) in first ch be­ing care­ful not to twist ch, ch 1, sc in first ch, work­ing in back bar of ch (see il­lus­tra­tion), sc in each ch around to last ch, hdc in last ch. Place marker (see Pat­tern Notes) in bot­tom of hdc as last st. (70 sts)

Rnds 2 & 3: Split sc (see Special Stitch) in each st around. Rnds 4–38: Work­ing split sc in each sc around, change color (see Stitch Guide) ac­cord­ing to Col­or­work Chart (see Pat­tern

Notes) across first 35 sts, with coun­try yel­low split sc in each rem st around. Fas­ten off at end of last rnd.


Block with im­age cen­tered. Work­ing in back lps (see Stitch

Guide), sew top and bot­tom edges closed with match­ing yarn. CW
