SPE­CIAL STITCHES

Slip ring: Leav­ing 4-inch end, lap yarn over 4-inch end form­ing lp (see il­lus­tra­tion), insert hook through lp from front to back, yo, pull through lp to form ring, yo, pull through lp on hook. Be­gin­ning V-st (beg V-st): Ch 6 (counts as dc and ch-3), dc in same st or sp.

V-stitch (V-st): (Dc, ch 3, dc) in in­di­cated st or sp. Be­gin­ning 2 dou­ble cro­chet clus­ter (beg cl): Ch 2, yo, insert hook into spec­i­fied st or sp, yo, pull up a lp, [yo, pull through 2 lps on hook] twice. 2 dou­ble cro­chet clus­ter (cl): [Yo, insert hook into spec­i­fied st or sp, yo, pull up a lp, yo, pull through 2 lps on hook] twice, yo, draw through all 3 lps on hook. Join with sin­gle cro­chet (join with sc): Place a slip knot on hook, insert hook in in­di­cated st, yo and draw up a lp, yo and pull through both lps on hook.

FIN­ISH­ING

Pin snowflakes to shape. Block. Spray with stiff­ener.
