PAT­TERN NOTES

First the Base of the cowl is cro­cheted with each of the leaf­shaped lengths and clo­sure pocket added at the end. Chain-2 at begin­ning of row does not count as stitch un­less oth­er­wise stated. Join with slip stitch un­less oth­er­wise in­di­cated.

SPE­CIAL STITCHES

Braided ca­ble right side (BCRS): Sk next 3 sts (at the beg of the row, this means the very first 3 sts), fptr (see Stitch

Guide) around each of next 3 sts; work­ing in front of the post sts just made, fptr around each of the 3 sk sts; fptr around each of the next 3 sts.

(BCWS): Sk next 3 sts (at the beg of the row, this means the very first 3 sts), bptr (see Stitch

Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from hook (sk chs do not count as a st) and in next 8 chs, WT (see Spe­cial

Stitches) in next ch, sk next ch, WT in next ch, dc in each of next 9 chs. Turn. (18 dc, 2 WT)
