• Size I/ 9/ 5.5mm cro­chet hook or size needed

to ob­tain gauge

• Tapestry nee­dle

In pat­tern: 11 sts = 4 inches; 11 rows = 4 inches

Row 1 (RS): Ch 69, sc in back bar (see il­lus­tra­tion) of 2nd ch from hook and in back bar of each ch across, turn. (68 sts)

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.

Row 3: Rep row 2.

Row 4: Ch 1, 2 dc in each st across to last st, dc in last st, turn. (135 sts)

Row 5: Ch 1, dc in each st across, turn.

Row 6: Ch 1, sc in first st, [sk next st, sc in next st] 67 times, turn. (68 sts)

Row 7: Rep row 2.

Rows 8–79: [Rep rows 2–7] 12 times.

Row 80: Rep row 2.
