PATTERN NOTES

You will be working in the chains and not the spaces in this pattern unless otherwise specified. Weave in ends as work progresses. Chain-3 at beginning of row counts as first double crochet. Chain-1 at beginning of row does not count as first single crochet. Join with slip stitch unless otherwise specified. The Front Borders add 1 inch to measurement. Bottom Borders add 1/2 inch to measurement. When picking up stitches on row ends, as for borders, we usually pick up 1 single crochet for each chain-1 turn and 2 single crochets for a chain-3 turn. Most important is that your work lies flat. Add or subtract stitches to ensure this.
