PAT­TERN NOTES

Cardi­gan is worked from top down work­ing yoke and arm­hole open­ing at same time. Sleeves and bor­der are added af­ter body is com­pleted. Weave in loose ends as work pro­gresses. Move stitch mark­ers up as work pro­gresses un­less oth­er­wise stated. When 3 stitches are worked into a marked stitch, move marker up to cen­ter stitch. Chain-2 at be­gin­ning of row or round counts as first ex­tended sin­gle cro­chet un­less oth­er­wise stated. Join with slip stitch as in­di­cated un­less oth­er­wise stated. Cardi­gan be­gins yoke with 16 rows in color A. Start­ing with row 17, work in the fol­low­ing pat­tern for re­main­der of yoke and all of body un­til bor­der: 16 rows each B, C, B, C; then re­main­der in B. To ad­just the length for 2 inches shorter, work 6 rows less in fi­nal color B sec­tion. To ad­just the length for 2 inches longer, work 6 rows more in fi­nal color B sec­tion. Ad­just­ing the length will re­quire chang­ing the num­ber of stitches for all bor­der rounds.
