• Ber­roco Vin­tage medium ( worsted) weight acrylic/ wool/ ny­lon yarn ( 31/2 oz/ 218 yds/ 100g per skein): 1 skein each # 5107 cracked pep­per (A), #5106 smoke ( B) and # 5173 red pep­per (C) • Size H/ 8/ 5mm cro­chet hook or size needed

to ob­tain gauge • Ta­pes­try nee­dle

PAT­TERN NOTES

Join with slip stitch as in­di­cated un­less oth­er­wise stated. Chain-2 at be­gin­ning of round counts as first ex­tended sin­gle cro­chet un­less oth­er­wise stated.

SPE­CIAL STITCHES

Sin­gle cro­chet join (sc join): Place slip knot on hook, insert hook in in­di­cated st, yo and pull up a lp, yo and draw through both lps on hook. Ex­tended sin­gle cro­chet (esc): Yo, insert hook in st, pull up lp, yo, pull through 1 lp on hook, yo, pull through all lps on hook.

With A, ch 8.

Row 1 (RS): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (7 sc)

Row 2: Work­ing in front lps (see Stitch Guide) only, ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.

Row 3: Work­ing in back lps (see Stitch Guide) only, ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.

Rows 4–53 [4–55, 4–57, 4–59]: Rep rows 2 and 3 al­ter­nately. Af­ter last row, leav­ing a long length for sewing, fas­ten off. With ta­pes­try nee­dle, whip­stitch (see il­lus­tra­tion) last row to bot­tom lps of row 1 to form ring.
