• Aunt Lydia’s Fashion Crochet size 3 crochet cotton (150 yds per ball): 6 balls #65 warm

teal • Sizes D/3/3.25mm and E/4/3.5mm crochet hooks or size needed to obtain gauge • Tapestry needle

GAUGE

Size E hook: 21 sts = 4 inches; 12 rows = 4 inches

PATTERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Chain-4 at beginning of row counts as decrease unless otherwise stated. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.

SPECIAL STITCH

Picot: Sc in indicated st or row end, ch 3, sl st in top of last sc.

SHAWL

Row 1: With size E hook, ch 342, sc in 2nd ch from hook, [ch 3, sk next 3 chs, sc in next ch] across, turn. (85 ch-3 sps) Row 2: Ch 4 (see Pattern Notes), dc in first sc, [ch 3, sk next 3 chs, dc in next sc] across to last ch-3 sp, tr in last sc for ending dec, turn.

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in next dc, [ch 3, sk next 3 chs, sc in next dc] across, turn. (83 ch-3 sps) Rep rows 2 and 3 for pattern, dec 2 ch-3 sps every other row until 1 ch-3 sp rem, do not fasten off.

EDGING

Rnd 1: Now working in rnds, ch 1, working in ends of rows, [4 sc in next tr sp, picot (see Special
