PATTERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Chain-6 at beginning of row counts as first double crochet and chain-3 unless otherwise stated.

SPECIAL STITCHES

First foundation single crochet (first foundation sc): Ch 2, insert hook into 2nd ch from hook, yo, pull up lp, yo, pull through 1 lp on hook (ch-1 completed), yo, pull though 1 lp on hook (sc completed) (see illustrati­on). Next foundation single crochet (next foundation sc): [Insert hook in last ch-1 made, yo, pull up lp, ch 1, yo, pull through all lps on hook] as indicated (see illustrati­on).

Cluster (cl): Holding back last lp of each dc on hook, 3 dc in place indicated, yo, draw through all 4 lps on hook.

Row 1: Work first foundation sc (see Special Stitches), work 24 next foundation sc (see Special Stitches), turn. (25 sc)

Next rows: Rep row 3 until piece measures 60 inches or desired length.
