(132 dc, 44 ch-1 sps) Block Squares into shape and press all Flower pieces with warm steam iron, placing double thickness of cloth between iron and square pieces. Allow to dry thoroughly.
ASSEMBLY
Attach 6 Flip-Flops to each Square in a circle with fronts
(toe section) pointing outward and centering over rnds 1–8 of Square overlapping heels
slightly. Lay Flower Center over Flip-Flops making sure heels of Flip-Flops are underneath Flower Center. With matching color yarn, sew pieces to each Square with running stitch (see illus
tration). Use care that running stitches do not show on WS of Square. Arrange Squares as indicated in Placement Diagram.
BORDER
Rnd 1 (RS): Join pale plum with sc in any corner of Blanket, 2 sc in same corner, sc evenly sp around, working 3 sc in each of rem 3 corners, join in beg sc. Fasten off.
Rnd 2: Join green with sc in center sc of 3-sc corner group, 2 sc in same corner sc, sc evenly sp around, working 3 sc in each rem center corner sc, join in beg sc. Fasten off.
Rnd 3: Join pink with sc in center sc of 3-sc corner group, ch 3, sc in same sc, [ch 3, sk next 2 sc, sc in next sc] around, adjusting sts as necessary working (sc, ch 3, sc) in each corner sc, ending with ch 3, join in beg sc. Fasten off.
