PATTERN NOTES
Each Motif is made with 3 colors. Refer to Placement Diagram as needed. Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated. Chain-3 at beginning of round counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated. Chain-2 at beginning of round counts as first half double crochet unless otherwise stated.
SPECIAL STITCHES
Fan: (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in indicated st or sp. Place slip knot on hook, insert hook in indicated st, yo and pull up a lp, yo and draw through both lps on hook.
V-stitch (V-st): (Sc, ch 1, sc) in
indicated sp. Beginning fan (beg fan): ( Ch 3— see Pattern Notes, dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in indicated sp.
Double crochet decrease over 5 stitches (dc dec over
5): Yo, insert hook in next sc, yo, pull up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps (2 lps on hook), sk each of next ch-3 sp, next seam and next ch-3 sp, yo, insert hook in next sc, yo, pull up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps (3 lps on hook), yo, draw through all 3 lps on hook.
Single crochet decrease over
3 stitches (sc dec over 3): Insert hook in next dc, yo, pull up a lp (2 lps on hook), sk next dc, insert hook in next dc, yo, pull up a lp (3 lps on hook), yo, draw through all 3 lps on hook.
