PATTERN NOTES
Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Use size F hook unless otherwise stated. Do not join rounds unless otherwise stated; work in continuous rounds using stitch marker to indicate beginning of rounds. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless stated otherwise.
SPECIAL STITCH
Single crochet join (sc join):
Place slip knot on hook, insert hook in indicated st, yo and pull up a lp, yo and draw through both lps on hook.

ASSEMBLY
Hold 1 black and 1 buff Ear Side with WS tog and buff facing, working through both thicknesses in back lps (see Stitch Guide), sc join (see Special
Stitch) black in first st, sc in each of next 2 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in each rem st across. Fasten off. Rep with rem Ear Side.
Horn
Make 2.
Row 1: With pink, ch 2, 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, turn. (3 sc)
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first st, 2 sc in next st, sc in last st, turn.
(4 sc)
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st across. Fasten off.
Head Spot
With black, ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in each of last 3 chs. Fasten off.
Leg
Make 4.
Rnd 1: With Aran, ch 2, 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook, do not join, place marker. (8 sc)
Rnd 2: Sc in back lp of each st around.
Rnds 3–8: Sc in each st around. Rnd 9: [Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st] around. (12 sc)
Rnd 10: Sc in each st around, join in first sc. Fasten off. Stuff Leg with fiberfill.
Leg Spot
Make 4. With black, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join in first sc. Fasten off.
Tail
With Aran, ch 5, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Fasten off. Cut 2 11/2-inch strands of black yarn. Hold both strands tog and fold in half, insert hook in end of Tail, pull fold through, pull ends of strands through fold, tighten.
ASSEMBLY
Refer to photographs for placement of details.
1. Hold Moon Sides with WS tog, matching sts and ends of rows, working through back lps with yellow, sew edges of Moon Sides tog, stuffing with fiberfill before closing.
2. Hold Star Sides with WS tog and Points matching, working through back lps with matching yarn, sew edges of Star Sides tog, stuffing with fiberfill before closing.
3. With black, sew Body Spot over rnds 7–14 on top of Cow Body.
4. With Head turned to left side of Body, sew rnds 8–11 of Head with Aran to rnds 17–19 of Body.
5. With buff, sew last rnd of Muzzle over rnds 1–3 on lower half of Head.
6. With black, sew straight edge at bottom of Ears to rnd 5 on top of Head 13/4 inches apart.
