MATERIALS
• Garnstudio DROPS Paris medium (worsted) weight cotton yarn (13/4 oz/82 yds/50g per skein): 1 skein each #02 light turquoise, #13 bright orange, #14 strong yellow, #31 medium purple, #33 medium pink and #39 dark lime • Size 7/4.5mm crochet hook or
size needed to obtain gauge • Tapestry needle • Craft glue
GAUGE
Rnds 1–4 = 31/2 inches
PATTERN NOTES
Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Colors are given for first coaster with changes for second and third coasters in brackets. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated. Chain-3 at beginning of round counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated. Beginning in round 2, work all stitches in spaces between stitches. Chain-1 at beginning of round counts as first single crochet unless otherwise stated.
COASTERS
Rnd 1 (RS): With purple [turquoise, yellow], ch 4, join (see Pattern Notes) in first ch to form a ring, ch 3 (see Pattern
Notes), 9 dc in ring, join in top of beg ch-3. (10 dc)
Rnd 2: With orange [lime, purple], sl st in sp (see Pattern
Notes) between beg ch-3 and next dc, ch 3, dc in same sp, [2 dc in next sp] 9 times, join in top of beg ch-3. (20 dc)
Rnd 3: With turquoise [pink, pink], sl st in sp between beg ch-3 and next dc, ch 3, dc in same sp, dc in next sp, [2 dc in next sp, dc in next sp] 9 times, join in top of beg ch-3. (30 dc)
EDGING
Rnd 4: With lime [orange, lime], sl st in sp between beg ch-3 and next dc, ch 1 (see Pattern Notes), sc in each sp around, join in beg ch. (30 sc) Rnd 5: Working over sts of rnd 4, ch 1, sc in each sp of rnd 3, join in beg sc. Fasten off.
FINISHING
Mix tog craft glue and water in equal quantities. Dip pieces in solution and gently squeeze to remove excess. Stretch Coasters to shape and allow to dry thoroughly.
