MATERIALS
• Garnstudio DROPS Paris medium (worsted) weight cotton yarn (13/4 oz/82 yds/50g per skein): 3 skeins #26 dark beige 1 skein each #01 apricot, #08 dark purple, #09 strong blue, #12 red and #39 dark lime
• Size 7/4.5mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
• Tapestry needle
• Craft glue
• 6 [8]-inch-diameter bowls
• Plastic wrap

Rnds 1–5 = 4 inches
PATTERN NOTES
Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated. Chain-3 at beginning of round counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated. Beginning in round 2, work all stitches in spaces between stitches. Chain-1 at beginning of round counts as first single crochet unless otherwise stated.
SPECIAL STITCH
Surface slip stitch (surface sl st): Insert hook in next sp between dc, yo, pull lp to RS and through lp on hook.

Medium Basket Rnd 1: Red in rnds 6 and 7. Rnd 2: Purple in rnds 7 and 8. Rnd 3: Apricot in rnds 8 and 9. Large Basket Rnd 1: Green in rnds 9 and 10. Rnd 2: Blue in rnds 10 and 11. Rnd 3: Apricot in rnds 11 and 12. Rnd 4: Red in rnds 12 and 13.

Rnd 11 [15]: Working over sts of rnd 10 [14], ch 1, sc in each sp of rnd 9 [13], join in beg sc. Fasten off.
Topstitching
With RS of Basket facing, referring to Color Sequences and alternating direction of sts as shown in Placement Diagram (see illustration), insert hook from RS to WS in any sp between sts in lower of 2 rnds, holding yarn beneath piece, place slip knot on hook and draw through to RS, surface sl st (see Special Stitch) in next sp of upper rnd, [surface sl st in next sp of lower rnd, surface sl st in next sp of upper rnd] around, join in beg sl st.
FINISHING
Weave in ends. Mix tog craft glue and water in same quantity. Dip pieces in solution and gently squeeze to remove excess. Cover outer side of bowls with plastic wrap and stretch Baskets over bowl to shape. Allow to dry thoroughly.
