PATTERN NOTES
Any size Hat can be made using any of the 3 stitch patterns, resulting in 9 variations from a single pattern. Work Crown for size needed and then skip to instructions for Body and Ribbing in same size. Carry yarn not in use on wrong side of Hat. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated. Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Chain-3 at beginning of round counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated. Chain-4 at beginning of round counts as first double crochet and chain-1 unless otherwise stated. Chain-2 at beginning of round counts as first half double crochet unless otherwise stated.
HATS CROWN All Sizes
Rnd 1 (RS): With solid color ch 4, 11 dc in 4th ch from hook, join (see Pattern Notes) in 4th ch of beg ch-4. (12 dc) Rnd 2: Ch 3 (see Pattern Notes), dc in same st as beg ch-3, 2 dc in each dc around, join in beg ch-3. (24 dc) Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in same st as beg ch-3, dc in next dc, [2 dc in next dc,

Rnd 3 (RS): With solid color, ch 1, sc in dc, [working in front of next ch-1 sp, dc in next sc 2 rnds below, sc in next dc] around, join in beg sc, do not turn.
Rnds 4-21: [Rep Rnds 1–3] 6 times. At the end of Rnd 21, fasten off variegated only.
Ribbing
