• Premier Yarns Sweet Roll medium (worsted) weight acrylic yarn (5 oz/245 yds/ 140g per cake): 9 cakes #1047-15 cheesecake pop

• Size I/9/5.5mm crochet hook or

size needed to obtain gauge

• Tapestry needle

5 dc = 2 inches; 6 rows = 4 inches

PATTERN NOTES

In order to achieve the striping effect shown in photo, it may be necessary to cut off first color as each new cake is started. Keep yarn cuttings as full yardage of all 9 cakes is required to achieve finished length. Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Chain-3 at beginning of row counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated.

SPECIAL STITCH

Looped single crochet (lp sc): Insert hook in indicated st and in ch-7 lp 2 rows below, yo, pull up a lp, yo, draw through both lps on hook.

THROW

Row 1: Ch 122, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each of next 2 chs, *ch 7, sk next 3 chs, sc in each of next 5 chs; rep from * across, sc in each of last 3 chs, turn. (76 sc, 15 ch-7 lps) Row 2: Ch 3 (see Pattern Notes), dc in each of next 2 sts, *working behind next ch-7 lp, tr in each of next 3 sk chs**, dc in each of next 5 dc; rep from * across, ending last rep at **, dc in each of last 3 sts, turn. (45 tr, 76 dc)

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first st, *ch 7, sk next 3 sts, lp sc (see Special

Stitch) in next st, ch 7, sk next 3 sts, sc in next st; rep from * across, working last sc in top of beg ch-3, turn. (16 sc, 15 lp sc, 30 ch-7 lps) Row 4: Ch 3, *working behind next ch-7 lp, tr in each of next 3 sk sts 2 rows below, dc in next sc; rep from * across, turn. (90 tr, 31 dc) Row 5: Ch 1, sc in each of first 2 sts, *lp sc in next st, ch 7, sk next 3 sts, lp sc in next st**, sc in each of next 3 sts; rep from * across, ending last rep at **, sc in next st, sc in top of beg ch-3, turn.
