PUPPY HEAD
Rnd 1: Starting at top of Head, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, do not join (see Pattern Notes). Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around. (12 sc)
Rnd 3: *Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, rep from * around. (18 sc)
Rnd 4: *Sc in each of next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st, rep from * around. (24 sc) Rnd 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around. (30 sc) Rnd 6: Sc in each st around. Rnd 7: *Sc in each of next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st, rep from * around. (36 sc) Rnd 8: *Sc in each of next 8 sts, 2 sc in next st, rep from * around. (40 sc) Rnds 9–16: Sc in each st around. Rnd 17: *Sc in each of next 8 sts, sc dec (see Stitch Guide) in next 2 sc, rep from * around. (36 sts)
Rnd 18: *Sc in each of next 4 sts, sc dec in next 2 sc, rep from * around. (30 sts) Stuff Head with fiberfill.
Rnd 19: *Sc in each of next 3 sts, sc dec in next 2 sc, rep from * around. (24 sts)
Rnd 20: *Sc in each of next 2 sts, sc dec in next 2 sc, rep from * around. (18 sts)
Rnd 21: *Sc in next st, sc dec in next 2 sc, rep from * around. Leaving 14-inch length, fasten off. (12 sts) Finish stuffing Head with fiberfill.
Rnd 1: Ch 5, 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each of next 3 chs, working on opposite side of foundation ch, 3 sc in next ch, sc in each of next 3 chs, do not join. (12 sts) Rnd 2: *Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, rep from * around. (18 sts)
Rnd 3: *Sc in each of next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st, rep from * around. (24 sts) Rnd 4: *Sc in each of next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st, rep from * around. (30 sts) Rnds 5–9: Sc in each st around. Leaving 16-inch length, fasten off at end of rnd 9. Stuff Muzzle. Sew to lower part of Head using 16-inch length of yarn.
Make 2. Row 1: Ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each of next 4 chs, turn. (5 sts) Rows 2–4: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. Row 5: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in each of next 3 sts, 2 sc in last st, turn. (7 sts)
Rows 6–14: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
Row 15: Ch 1, sc dec in next 2 sc, sc in each of next 3 sts, sc dec in next 2 sc, turn. (5 sts)
Row 16: Ch 1, sc dec in next 2 sc, sc in next st, sc dec in next 2 sc. Fasten off. (3 sts) Working in ends of rows, join with a sc in end of row 1, sc in end of each row across to row 16, working across row 16, 2 sc in next st, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, work 16 sc across other side of Ear. Leaving 12-inch length, fasten off. Sew Ears to Head.
With black, use satin stitch
(see illustration) to embroider eyes above Muzzle and a triangle-shaped nose on Muzzle, use straight stitch (see illustration) to embroider nose line and mouth on Muzzle.
BODY
Rnds rnds 1 1 and & 2: 2 for Starting Head. at (12 front, sts at rep end of rnd 2) Rnd 3: *2 sc in each of next 3 sts, sc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around. (18 sts) Rnd 4: *[Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st] 3 times, sc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around. (24 sts) Rnd 5: *Sc in each of next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st, rep from * around. (30 sts) Rnd 6: *Sc in each of next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st, rep from * around. (36 sts) Rnd 7: Sc in each st around. Rnd 8: *Sc in each of next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st, rep from * around. (42 sts) Rnds 9–29: Sc in each st around. Stuff Body with fiberfill. Rnd 30: *Sc in each of next 5 sts, sc dec in next 2 sc, rep from * around. (36 sts) Rnd 31: *Sc in each of next 4 sts, sc dec in next 2 sc, rep from * around. (30 sts) Rnd 32: *Sc in each of next 3 sts, sc dec in next 2 sc, rep from * around. FRONT LEG
Make 2. Rnds 1–3: Rep rnds 1–3 of Body. (18 sts at end of last row) Rnd 4: *Sc in each of next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st, rep from * around. (24 sts) Rnd 5: *Sc in each of next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st, rep from * around, join with sl st in first st. (30 sts) Rnd 6: Ch 1, working in back lps (see Stitch Guide), sc in each st around.
Rnd 7: Working in both lps, sc in each st around.
Rnd 8: Sc in each of next 17 sts, [sc dec in next 2 sts] 3 times, sc in each of next 7 sts, join with sl st in first sc. (27 sts) Rnd 9: Sc in each of next 13 sts, [sc dec in next 2 sts, sc in next st] 3 times, sc in each of next 4 sts. (24 sts) Rnds 10–14: Sc in each st around. Leaving 16-inch length, fasten off at end of rnd 14. Stuff Legs with fiberfill. Sew to Body.
BACK LEG
Make 2. Rnds 1–14: Rep rnds 1–14 of Front Leg. Stuff Back Legs with fiberfill. Sew to Body.
TAIL
Rnd 1: Starting at tip, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, do not join. Rnd 2: Sc in each st around. Rnd 3: *Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, rep from * around. (9 sts)
Rnds 4–7: Sc in each st around. Rnd 8: *Sc in each of next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st, rep from * around. (12 sts) Rnds 9 & 10: Sc in each st around. Rnds 11 & 12: Sl st in each of next 5 sts, hdc in each of next 7 sts, join with sl st in first st. Leaving 12-inch length, fasten off at end of rnd 12. Stuff Tail with fiberfill. Sew to Body with tip pointing toward Head.
