MATERIALS
• Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable medium (worsted) weight acrylic yarn (31/2 oz/ 270 yds/100g per ball): 1 ball each #3955 winery and
#3960 tidal
• Size H/8/5mm crochet hook or
size needed to obtain gauge
• Tapestry needle
• Sewing needle
• 2 large buttons
• Matching sewing thread
GAUGE
9 sts = 2 inches; 6 rows = 3 inches measured from wrong side
PATTERN NOTES
Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Chain-3 at beginning of row counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated. Add rows in multiples of 2 to fit a larger mug.

Row 1 (RS): Ch 3 (see Pattern Notes), sk next 2 sts, fptr (see
Stitch Guide) around each of next 2 sts, working in front of sts just made, fptr around each of 2 sk sts, sk next 2 sts, fptr around each of next 2 sts, working in front of sts just made, fptr around each of 2 sk sts, dc in top of beg ch-3, turn. Row 2: Ch 3, bptr (see Stitch Guide) around each of next 2 sts, sk next 2 sts, bptr around each of next 2 sts, working in front of sts just made, bptr around each of 2 sk sts, bptr around each of next 2 sts, dc in top of beg ch-3, turn.
COZY 1
Foundation row: With tidal, ch 12, dc in 4th ch from hook (first 3 sk chs counts as first dc) and in each ch across, turn. (10 dc) Rows 1–18: Work rows 1 and 2 of Celtic Weave pattern (see Pattern Stitch) 9 times.
EDGING
Rnd 1: Now working in rnd and with RS facing, ch 3, fpdc (see
Stitch Guide) around each st across to beg ch, dc in top of beg ch, working in ends of rows, (sc, ch 3, dc) in end of first row, sk next row, (sc, ch 3, dc) in each rem row, working in opposite side of foundation ch, sk first ch, sc in each rem ch across, working in ends of rows, (sc, ch 3, dc) in each row, sc in each of first 3 sts, ch 6, sk next 3 sts, sc in each of last 3 sts (button lp made), join (see Pattern Notes) in top of beg ch-3, turn.
Last row: Now working in row, ch 1, sk first st, sl st in each of next 2 sts, 8 sc in ch-6 sp, sl st in each of last 3 sts. Fasten off.
FINISHING
With RS facing, sew button at opposite end of Cozy from button lp.
COZY 2
With winery, work same as Cozy 1 through row 18.
Row 19: Ch 3, fpdc (see Stitch Guide) around each st across, leave beg ch-3 unworked, turn. (9 dc)
Row 20: Ch 1, sc in each st across to beg ch, sc in top of beg ch-3, turn. (9 sc)
Row 21: Ch 1, sc in each of first 3 sts, ch 6 (button lp made), sk next 3 sts, sc in each of last 3 sts, turn.
EDGING
With RS facing, ch 1, sc in each of first 3 sts, 8 sc in ch-6 sp, sc in each of last 3 sts, working in ends of rows, sc in last row, [sk next row, 6 dc in next row, sk next row, sc in next row] 5 times, sk next row, 6 dc in next row, working in opposite side of foundation ch, sk first ch, sc in each rem ch across to last ch, sk last ch, working in ends of rows, 6 dc in first row, [sk next row, sc in next row, sk next row, 6 dc in next row] 5 times, join (see Pattern
Notes) in first sc. Fasten off.
FINISHING
With RS facing, sew button at opposite end of Cozy from button lp.
