Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated. Use size 7 steel hook unless otherwise stated. Stuff dress with plastic wrap, saturate with fabric stiffener and pin last rnd of dress to pinning board.
PUMPKIN
Row 1: With orange, ch 18, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each rem ch across, turn. (16 dc)
Row 2: Ch 3, working in back lps, dc in each st across, turn.
Rows 3–14: Rep row 2. At the end of row 14, leaving a 12-inch length, fasten off. Holding opposite side of foundation ch to row 14 and working in back lps, sew edges tog, weave rem length through ends of rows along bottom of pumpkin, pull to close opening.
Stem
Rnd 1: Working in top opening of pumpkin in ends of rows, join leaf green, ch 1, sc in same row as beg ch-1, sc in each of next 13 rows, join in beg sc. (14 sc)
