FINISHED MEASUREMEN­TS 61/2 inches x 72 inches from tip to tip MATERIALS • Medium (worsted) weight acrylic yarn: 60 yds each of 6 different colors (A–F) • Size I/9/5.5mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge • Tapestry needle GAUGE 7 dc = 2 inches; 4 rows = 2 inches PATTERN NOTES Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated. Chain-3 at beginning of row counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated. Scarf is worked in 2 strips which will be joined at the end. For strip 1, rotate through colors in sequence (A, B, C, D, E, F) until the end. For strip 2, rotate through colors in sequence (E, F, A, B, C, D) until the end. STITCH PATTERN Herringbon­e Stitch Row 1: Ch 3, dc in next 11 sts, 3 dc in next st, turn. Row 2: Ch 3 (see Pattern Notes), 2 dc in first st, dc in each st across, fasten off leaving a long tail for seaming and turn. STRIP Make 2. Row 1: With first color (see

Pattern Notes), ch 15, dc in 4th ch from hook (sk 3 chs count Annie’s as first dc) and in each of next 10 chs, 3 dc in last ch, turn. (15 dc) Row 2: Work row 2 of Herringbon­e Stitch pattern (see Stitch Pattern). (17 dc) Row 3: Join (see Pattern Notes) next color in 5th st from the end of previous row, work row 1 of Herringbon­e Stitch pattern. (15 dc) Row 4: Work row 2 of Herringbon­e Stitch pattern. (17 dc) Rows 5–82: [Rep rows 3 and 4] 39 times. ASSEMBLY Referring to the photo for positionin­g, use the yarn tails to whipstitch the strips tog. The point of the protruding corner will join the receding corner. Hold the corners and align the length and width of the adjoining sides when you join. Weave in any rem loose ends. Block if needed.
