• Berroco Vintage Chunky bulky (chunky) weight acrylic/wool/nylon yarn (31/2 oz/136 yds/100g per hank): 1 hank either #6167 dewberry (shown in adult small/ medium) or #6193 Yukon

green (shown in adult large) • Size N/13/9mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge • Tapestry needle • Stitch marker

GAUGE

Rnds 1–5 = 5 inches across

PATTERN NOTES

Hat is worked in continuous rounds unless otherwise noted. Use stitch marker to mark first stitch in round and move marker up as you work each round. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.

SPECIAL STITCH

Herringbon­e half double crochet (hhdc): Yo, insert hook in indicated st, yo, pull through st and through first lp on hook, yo, pull through both lps on hook.
