SPECIAL STITCHES
Single crochet join (sc join): Place a slip knot on hook, insert hook in indicated st, yo and draw up a lp, yo and pull through both lps on hook.
Popcorn (pc): Sc in indicated st, yo, insert hook in next st, pull up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps, [yo, insert hook in same st, pull up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps] 3 times (5 lps on hook), yo and draw through all 5 lps on hook, sc in next st to close.

Size Child Only
Rows 13 & 14: Ch 1, hdc

Sizes Woman’s Small, Medium & Large Only
Rows [17, 19, 21]: Ch 1, hdc dec (see Stitch Guide) in first 2 sts, hdc dec in next 2 sts, hdc in each st across to last 4 sts, [hdc dec in next 2 sts] twice, turn. SHAFT
With cafe latte, ch 28 [36, 44, 51]. Row 1 (RS): Hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (27 [34, 43, 50] hdc) Row(s) 2 [2, 2, 2 & 3]: Ch 1, hdc in each st across, turn. Rows 3–8 [3–10, 3–11, 4–13]: Ch 1, hdc dec in first 2 sts, hdc in each st across, hdc dec in last 2 sts, turn. (15 [18, 25, 30] hdc)
Rows 9–18 [11–22, 12–25,
14–29]: Ch 1, hdc in each st across, turn. At end of last row, fasten off.
ASSEMBLY
1. With RS held tog, pin center of Toe to center of Sole & Band, pin rem of Toe evenly to edges of Sole & Band. With cafe latte, whipstitch (see illustration) edges tog, turn piece RS out. 2. With WS held tog, pin first row of Tongue to edge of Toe, whipstitch tog. 3. Fold Cuff in half widthwise with RS tog. With buff, whipstitch edges of rows on each end tog. Turn Cuff RS out. With bobble rows facing out, pin lower edge of Cuff over top edge of Shaft. With buff, sew in place through all thicknesses.
