• Omega Sinfonia light (DK) weight cotton yarn (31/2 oz/218 yds/100g per skein): 1 skein each #805 brick,

#807 khaki and #889 olive • Size G/6/4mm crochet hook or

size needed to obtain gauge • Yarn needle

GAUGE

Rnds 1–3 = 2 inches

PATTERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated. Chain-4 at beginning of round 1 counts as beginning chain and first double crochet. Chain-3 at beginning of round counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated.

SPECIAL STITCHES

Single crochet join (sc join): Place slip knot on hook, insert hook in indicated st, yo, draw up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps on hook. Beginning cluster (beg cl): Sc join (see Special Stitches) in indicated st, ch 2, (yo, insert hook in same st, yo, draw up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps on hook) 4 times, yo and draw through all 5 lps on hook.

Cluster (cl): (Yo, insert hook in indicated st, yo, draw up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps on hook) 5 times, yo and draw through 6 lps on hook. Beginning side shell (beg side shell): (Sc join, ch 3, 3 dc) in indicated st. Side shell: (Sc, ch 3, 3 dc) in indicated st.

Rnd 1: With olive, ch 4 (see Pattern Notes), 11 dc in 4th ch from hook, join (see Pattern Notes) in 4th ch of beg ch-4. (12 dc)

Rnd 2: Sl st in sp between joining and next dc, ch 3 (see Pat

tern Notes), dc in same sp, sk next dc, [2 dc in next sp between sts, sk next dc] around, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. (24 dc)

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, ch 3, sk next st, [sc in next st, ch 3, sk next st] around, join in beg sc. Fasten off. (12 sc, 12 ch-3 sps) Rnd 4: Working in front of ch-3 sp of previous rnd in sk sts, with khaki, work beg cl (see Special

Stitches) in sk st, ch 3, sk next sc, [ cl (see Special Stitches) in next sk st, ch 3, sk next sc] around, join in beg cl. Fasten off.
