Gradient Flower Cowl
With one ball or less each of three complementary self-patterning yarns, you can crochet this cowl that can be worn different ways to change the look.

PATTERN NOTES
Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Motifs are joined together in rows with a join-as-you-go technique. Follow Placement Diagram from top row down for color sequence and joining. Begin each Motif from opposite ends of the ball for maximum color placement. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated. Chain-2 at beginning of round or row counts as first half double crochet unless otherwise stated.
SPECIAL STITCHES
Chain-5 join (ch-5 join): Ch 5, drop lp from hook, insert hook from front to back of indicated ch-5 sp of indicated Motif, place dropped lp on hook, pull through ch-5 sp.
Puff stitch (puff st): Yo, insert hook in indicated st, yo and draw up a lp, [yo, insert hook in same st, yo and draw up a lp] twice (7 lps on hook), yo, pull through all 7 lps on hook.
