PATTERN NOTES Chain-5, double crochet in next double crochet at beginning of row counts as double crochet in first stitch and first open space. All rows end with a double crochet in the 3rd chain of the turning chain. The pattern is worked following the chart through row 75. Then, the chart is turned and worked back down. Odd-numbered rows are worked right to left; even-numbered rows are worked left to right. All rows will have a total of 53 blocks and open spaces across. Join with slip stitch unless otherwise stated. SPECIAL STITCHES Open space (open sp): Ch 2, dc. Note: When working an open sp over another open sp, ch 2, sk ch-2 sp, dc in next dc.
