• Lizbeth size 10 crochet cotton (122 yds per ball):
1 ball each #632 purple med, #684 leaf green med and #602 natural
• Size 7/1.65mm steel crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch marker
GAUGE
Rnds 1–3 = 11/2 inches in diameter; rnds 1–10 = 4 inches in diameter
PATTERN NOTES
Weave in loose ends as work progresses.
Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.
Chain-3 at beginning of round counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated.
When instructed to work in a shell, work in the chain-2 space of shell.
SPECIAL STITCHES
Single crochet join (sc join):
Place a slip knot on hook, insert hook in indicated st, yo and pull up a lp, yo and draw through both lps on hook.
Scallop: (Sc, hdc, dc, tr, dc, hdc, sc) in indicated sp. Beginning shell: (beg shell): (Ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in indicated sp.
Shell: (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in indicated sp.
2 double crochet together
(2dctog): Yo, pull up a lp in next ch-5 sp, yo, draw through 2 lps, yo, pull up a lp in next ch-5 sp, [yo, draw through 2 lps] 3 times. Long single crochet (long sc): Sc in indicated st, pulling strands up to working row.
DOILY
With leaf green med, ch 8, join (see Pattern Notes) in first ch to form a ring. Rnd 1: Ch 3 (see Pattern Notes), 2 dc in ring, [ch 1, 3 dc in ring] 7 times, ch 1, join in top of beg ch-3, fasten off. (8 3-dc groups, 8 ch-1 sps)
