4 balls #665 ocean teal dk 3 balls #158 Niagara Falls • Size 7/1.65mm crochet hook or

size needed to obtain gauge • Tapestry needle

GAUGE

Motifs = 13/4 inches x 13/4 inches

PATTERN NOTES

Chain-4 at beginning of round counts as first treble crochet unless otherwise stated.

Make sure right sides are up when joining motifs.

Weave in loose ends with crochet hook as you cut them off but leave a tiny bit of the tail. Make sure ends are secure so they will not pull out during the blocking process.

Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.

SPECIAL STITCH

Treble cluster (tr cl): *Yo twice, insert hook in next st and pull up a lp, [yo and pull through 2 lps] twice; rep from * 3 times (5 lps on hook), yo and pull through all lps on hook.

TABLE RUNNER FIRST ROW Motif 1

With ocean teal, ch 6, join (see Pattern Notes) to beg ch to form a lp. Rnd 1: Ch 4 (see Pattern Notes), 5 tr in lp, [ch 1, 6 tr in lp] 3 times, ch 1, join to top of beg ch-4. (4 6-tr groups, 4 ch-1 sps)

Rnd 2: Ch 5, sk first tr, tr cl

(see Special Stitch) over next 4 tr, ch 5, sl st in next tr, sl st in ch-1 sp, sl st in next tr, *ch 5, tr cl over next 4 tr, ch 5, sl st in next tr, sl st in ch-1 sp**, sl st in next tr; rep from * twice, ending last rep at **. Fasten off. (4 tr cl, 8 ch-5, 12 sl sts)

Work beg of Motif 1 and rnd 1 of Motif 1.
