EASY FINISHED MEASUREMENT
Each pillow measures 14 inches square MATERIALS
• Plymouth Yarn Fantasy Naturale medium (worsted) weight cotton yarn (3½oz/140 yds/100g per skein):
3 skeins each #8176 cream
and #7360 tan
• Size H/8/5mm crochet hook or
size needed to obtain gauge • Tapestry needle
• 14 x 14-inch pillow form: 2 GAUGE 4 sc and ch = 2 inches; 8 rows = 2 inches PATTERN NOTES
Weave in loose ends as work progresses.
Join rounds with slip stitch unless otherwise stated. Chain-3 at beginning of round counts as first single crochet, chain-2 unless otherwise stated. SQUARE PILLOW Make 2. Rnd 1: With cream, ch 4, join (see Pattern Notes), ch 3 (see Pattern Notes), (sc in ring, ch 2) 3 times, join in first ch. (4 sc, 4 ch-2 sps) Rnd 2: Ch 3, sc in corner sp, ch 1, [(sc, ch 2, sc) in corner ch-2 sp, ch 1] 3 times, join in first ch of ch-3, change color (see Stitch Guide) to tan, fasten off cream.
(2 sc each side of square) Rnd 3: Ch 3, sc in corner sp, *ch 1, sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1**,
(sc, ch 2, sc) in corner ch-2 sp, rep from * around, ending last rep at **, join in first ch of ch-3. (3 sc each side of square)
Rnd 4: Ch 3, sc in corner sp, *[ch 1, sc in next ch-1 sp] across to next corner ch-2 sp, ch 1**, (sc, ch 2, sc) in corner ch-2 sp, rep from * around, ending last rep at **, join in first ch of ch-3, change color to cream, fasten off tan. (4 sc each side of square) Rnd 5: Ch 3, sc in corner sp, *[ch 1, sc in next ch-1 sp] across to next corner ch-2 sp, ch 1**, (sc, ch 2, sc) in corner ch-2 sp, rep from * around, ending last rep at **, join in first ch of ch-3. ASSEMBLY
Rnd 1: Holding WS of Square Pillow sections tog and working through both thicknesses, join tan with sc in any corner, (ch 2, sc) in same corner sp, ch 1, *[sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1] across to next corner ch-2 sp**, (sc, ch 2, sc) in corner ch-2 sp, ch 1, rep from * around 3 sides, insert pillow form, continue across last side edge, ending last rep at **, join in beg sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, reverse sc (see Stitch Guide) in next ch sp, ch 2, [reverse sc in next ch sp, ch 2] around, join in first sc. Fasten off. DIAGONAL PILLOW Make 2. Note: Start Front with 6 rows cream, change color (see Stitch Guide), then alternate [3 rows tan and 3 rows cream] 10 times, ending with 6 rows tan. Row 1: Ch 2, sc in 2nd ch from hook, turn. (1 sc)
Row 2: Ch 1, (sc, ch 1, sc) in next sc, turn. (2 sc, 1 ch-1 sp)
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first sc, ch 1, sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, sc in last sc, turn. (3 sc, 2 ch-1 sps)
Row 4: Ch 1, sc in first sc, [ch 1, sc in next ch-1 sp] across, ending with ch 1, sc in last sc, turn. (4 sc, 3 ch-1 sps) Rows 5–36: Ch 1, sc in first sc, [ch 1, sc in next ch-1 sp] across, ending with ch 1, sc in last sc, turn. Rows 39–72: Rep row 38 until 1 sc rem. Fasten off. BORDER
