OFFSHORE REPORT: NEW RACING, NEW WEBSITE, NEW STAFF
Offshore Sailing School offers racing events for interested crew: the third annual Southwest Florida Racing Clinic, December 2-6, 2018, Fort Myers Beach; and the new Caribbean Race Week, aboard 48-footers, which will embark from The Moorings base on Tortola, British Virgin Islands, February 23-March 1, 2019.
In other news, the company has also launched a website for its signature Colgate 26 (colgate 26.com). The boat’s designer and company owner Steve Colgate says the website has been updated with new content, photos and owner testimonials.
The Colgate 26 has been the official training vessel of the U.S. Naval Academy, which took delivery of 12 new Colgate 26s in 2016 for collegiate racing; the U.S. Coast Guard; and the Maine Maritime Academy. The Colgate 26, a Cruising World Boat of the Year honoree, is the keelboat used by Offshore Sailing School for teaching sailing, basic learnto-sail courses for US Sailing certification and performance sailing. Colgate 26 sailboats are built by Precision Boat Works in Palmetto, Florida. The Colgate 26 will be on display at the U.S. Sailboat Show in Annapolis, October 4-8, 2018.
The company has also appointed three new members to its executive management team, and made several additions and promotions in sales and operations staff. For details, contact Offshore (offshoresailing.com).
