What A Remarkable Achievement!

-

Thirty-five years ago a handful of us started the American Sailing Association. We worked out of a small corner in the back of a trailer in Marina del Rey, CA. The first ASA Instructor Evaluators traveled cross country and visited almost every sailing school in America encouraging them to join the fledgling ASA and to teach to the new national standard. That first year we certified 137 sailors.

Today ASA is America’s sail education authority. We are the largest and most respected sail training system in the world with over seven thousand certified instructors and three hundred and fifty schools in the US and around the world.

Take a sailing lesson, charter a boat, go on a flotilla and just have fun.
