This integral backstay adjuster has no external hoses. Here’s how.

You pump the handle. The single-acting pump moves fluid through a hole gun drilled inside the stainless rod, to the top of the cylinder. Pressure builds. Backstay tension increases.

Twisting the pressure-release knob allows fluid flow back down the rod equalizing pressure. It all happens protected, inside.
