Keep epoxy flowing in colder weather
In cold temperatures, warming 105 Epoxy Resin and 205 Fast Hardener reduces their viscosity for better flow. Pre-warmed epoxy components dispense easily, blend thoroughly, and won’t cling to the mixing container. Epoxy’s chemical reaction gets off to a better start, facilitating a full cure. During application, warmer epoxy flows better, easily wetting out reinforcing fabrics or porous surfaces. A heat lamp will warm epoxy resin and hardener in their original containers. For cooler shops, build a warming box out of foil-backed insulation and add a lightbulb or heating pad to bring resin and hardener cans to 70°F–90°F before use.
