Henri-lloyd touts its new M-pro hooded 3L Gor-tex jacket—made from recycled Gor-tex materials— as its most eco-responsible jacket yet. The jacket, made in Henri-lloyd’s factory in Poland, is laser-cut and bonded with stretch laminated internal cuffs for waterproof protection. The jacket’s features include a breeze clip that allows for ventilation; a zip-off hood; chunky, waterproof YKK zips; and external, Velcro adjustable wrist closures. The jacket has microfleece detailing at the nape of the neck for comfort.

Strikehold Marine anti-corrosion spray lubricant, developed by the US military for use under extreme conditions, is a good choice in the onboard battle against rust and corrosion. Its synthetic-based additives penetrate metal and displace moisture. It can be used on engines, steering systems, grease fittings and deck hatches. Australian company Deckee recently launched its free app and safe-boating platform in the United States. The social app is crowdsourced and continually augmented. It contains maritime data from NOAA, along with 54,000 aids to navigation from the United States Coast Guard. The information is regularly updated. Users have access to current conditions, as well as points of interest such as mooring locations, boat ramps and speed zones. Users can contribute their own updates.
