I love using dehydrated mushrooms when cooking. However, it's difficult to keep them submerged in the rehydratin­g liquid. Now I use my French press and have no more problems. The mushrooms stay neatly under the water, and when it's time to drain them, I just push the plunger down.

The mushrooms stay put while the liquid drains away.
