Ansley six-graders graduate DARE

Ansley 6th Grade had DARE graduation on Tuesday, April 13. DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) after a 10-week class, (10 one hour sessions). The main focus of the program is the DARE decision-making model - a four-step process that the students are taught to make safe and wise decisions when it comes to drugs and life challenges. Also discussed are peer pressure, communicat­ion, stress and how to deal with it, bullying and health effects and facts about certain drugs. DARE’s focus is to teach these lessons and develop a positive relationsh­ip between the students and law enforcemen­t.
