BROKEN BOW - Matthew Furrow, graduate of Mullen High School and UNL Law College is the new associate attorney at Borders Law Office.

Mike Borders has been in law practice in Broken Bow for more than 25 years.

For several years Borders Law offices have been on South D Street. They have moved into the former Farm Credit Services building on 10th Ave. The new location gives them more space to meet with clients.

Borders said, “The reason I interviewed Matt, initially, was because he was from the area. Secondly, his resume was impressive. After we first talked, I knew he had the personality and intelligence that would work well in dealing with people from our area.”

Borders added, “Matt then worked for me for the previous two summers as a law clerk. I was able to watch how he handled himself and cases and knew he would be a great fit.”

Furrow and his wife, Haley, who also graduated from Mullen High School, knew they wanted to move back closer to family. Broken Bow was a good fit for them. Haley is the SOP with the ESU 10 for Arnold and Callaway. Besides being closer to family they enjoy having a local movie theater and also so many choices for eating out.

“I enjoy being in the court room and not stuck in an office all day,” Furrow stated. “I also knew I wanted to move to a community that had some kind of organized sports I could play, I found that with a team in Merna.”

Borders Law handles all types of cases all across central Nebraska.

“With Matt growing up in Mullen, he has the background and understanding to work hard and care about the people and potential clients of Central Nebraska,” Borders stated. “Additionally, he has the intelligence to understand the issues in all types of cases and handle what needs to be done to inform and protect his client’s interests.”
